Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8
Create, Produce, and Perform by Keith Robinson
Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8: Create, Produce, Perform
I recently ordered this book from Amazon, as although I am getting better using Ableton Suite 8
, it is a bit overwhelming as a novice user. I figured getting some outside help might make me more productive sooner. Although Ableton Live 8
is very user friendly Digital Audio Workstation(DAW), like all powerful programs their is a steep learning curve.
This book is fantastic and its author has tried to structure it in a similar way to how Ableton Live 8
itself works or more correctly is structured that the author refers to as a non linear approach. This is a fantastic way to go about it and has helped me understand Ableton better, quite quickly. I have been reading my way through it but now always have it at hand while I’m usingAbleton Live 8
.
I started with Ableton using Ableton Live 7 but only a few weeks after I purchased it Ableton Live 8 was released, so I decided to upgrade to that, and then decided to get the full suite version, rather than just Live. I am glads I did and although I haven’t used all the extra features Suite has over Live, I am slowly begining to use more and more.
What I really like about this book is if I am wanting to do something in Ableton Live 8
, I can go directly to that section of the book
I need and get insightful help that is relevant to the task at hand. As well as explaining the function it has screen shots too. It also has many hot tips related to the task. It will then provide links to other relevant sections.
This book has quickly become my Ableton Live Bible. If like me your new to Ableton Live 8
, then this book is a must have and essential reading. I even think an experienced Ableton Live 8
user would find this book informative and may help them get more from the DAW
I rate this book 10 out of 10….Superb a must have for Ableton Live 8
users
Here is another link to it on Amazon if you are interested in buying it
