This has to be the nicest keyboard I have ever owned. Sure it looks great but more importantly it is a pleasure to use. It has some great features too, like the Touchdisc, which is like a laptop touch pad but possibly more functional when using away from a desk, like navigating online from the couch. Its not as functional as a mouse or touchpad when working on a document for example, as dragging and dropping is limited by size, but its scrolling function is fantastic. You slide your finger around edge of disc to scroll up or down by starting at side. If you do same thing at bottom of disc it allows vertical scrolling. On mine I adjusted the speed through the supplied software(which is great interface), to get it to my liking. Below this are traditional left and right mouse click buttons.Continue reading “Logitech Dinovo Edge Keyboard”
On my travels through cyberspace I came across whats either the most decadent thing around or something quite cool, depending on your point of veiw. I think its cool but doubt I will ever be in a position to use this service.Continue reading “For the Person who almost has it all”
Well I just got another cool watch, and it is very cool, but it hasn’t overtaken my Storm Circuit MKII as the coolest watch. I have had my eye on this watch for some time and I finally decide to buy it. I placed my order and then tracked the delivery online. 2 days later it was at local distribution centre. Unfortunately it didn’t arrive from there for another 3, which was what was promised, but as I live about 1 km from this centre, it was annoying knowing I was so close to it.Continue reading “The Second Coolest Watch”
I just got hold of my long desired Technics SL-1200 turntable . I have wanted one of these bad boys for many years. Now most people would want 2, but my desire has been for just 1. Why? well I have a DJ set up consisting of a Pioneer CDJ-200
and Denon DN-S3000 and Pioneer DJM-400 Mixer
, that takes care of my DJ needs. I got theTechnics SL-1200 turntable
to scratch with, for music production. Not being flush with cash I contacted my good friends down at DMC Records in Prahran, Lance and Stuart, who have looked after me with nearly all my music production gear. Now they advised me rather than buy a cheaper but new turntable, to get the industry standard Technics SL-1200 turntable
used(2nd hand). I could have bought a new Pioneer or Numark deck through work, at cost, but I figured it was good advice, as the Technics SL-1200 turntable
will hold its value and are a real workhorse, so should give me many many years of trouble free service.Continue reading “Technics SL-1200 MK2”

This amazing and revolutionary bike has quite a history. The Italian company is based in Rimini, was formed in 1972 by Bianchi, Mori and Tamburini. Massimo Tamburini crashed his honda CB 750 in the early 70s and decided that such a powerful bike needed a much better frame and so Bimota was born. Bimota had lot of success in its early days, fitting powerful motors ibto their superbly engineered frames, till basically the Japanese caught on and started making better frames for their bikes.Continue reading “The Coolest Motorbike On The Planet”
I bought this unit about 18 months ago, and no doubt some will be thinking *why would anyone buy a minidisc these days?*, so I’ll explain. I also own a 20gb hdd sony NW-HD5 which I have owned for many years. I use this model(NW-HD5) because I found the ATRAC3plus 352kb lossless compression was the best at the time. I use the MW-HD5 unit as my main source of music in my car. Its like having my own radio station that just plays the music I love.Continue reading “SONY MZ-RH1 Minidisc”

I would love to own an URWERK watch. These watches are revolutionary in design and unsurpassed in craftsmanship. The design reminds me of the legendary Curta manual calculator(see below), in that it is technically brilliant, yet awe inspiring in its execution. I love fine engineering and design and URWERK excels in both areas, as well as being a thing of beauty. Urwerk have a small team of 5 craftsman who will spend 3 years designing a watch and the company produce about 200 watches a year.Continue reading “Things I would own if I won lotto”
Brain machine interface(BMI) is a direct communication pathway between a brain and an external device. This was a subject of science fiction, as seen in the movie Firefox but is now a reality, although still in its early days. Original work in this science began in the 1970’s.Continue reading “Brain Machine Interface”
I have had this camcorder for over a year now and absolutely love it. It uses an SD card to record to which is amazing technology and in my opinion the future of camcorders. Some of the benefits include rapid start up(2 seconds for this camcorder), reduction of moving parts, as its solid state. Smaller size of Camcorder due to SD cards reduced size and lack of motors etc to spin discs or tape. Solid state means camcorders aren’t effected by high g-forces and are incredibly reliable. SD card storage means I can slip card straight into laptop, so no messing with cables and transfering footage is drag and drop.Continue reading “PANASONIC HDC-SD1”
