Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8: Create, Produce, Perform

I recently ordered this book from Amazon, as although I am getting better using Ableton Suite 8, it is a bit overwhelming as a novice user. I figured getting some outside help might make me more productive sooner. Although Ableton Live 8 is very user friendly Digital Audio Workstation(DAW), like all powerful programs their is a steep learning curve.Continue reading “Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8 reference Book”

Apple Iphone 16GB 3Gs

I picked up a new Iphone about a week ago. My contract was up and so decided to get the Iphone. I resisted the Ipod when it came out and instead bought a Sony 20 GB  MP3 player. Later I realised that due to ipods popularity, it would have been a more flexible choice. My Sony is still doing a great job, so felt no need to ditch it favour of an Ipod but when it came to phones, I decided to go with the popular choice for several reasons, and I’m glad I did.Continue reading “Apple Iphone 16GB 3Gs”

Happy in my Hoody

Bliss N Eso Hoody

God bless(not bliss) Australia Post for delivering my new Bliss n Eso  Hoody. Its white and IMO very right. OK back to how I have this. I ordered a BnE hoody a few months ago and unlucky for me they had sold out, so they gave me a credit. I have waited several months for the new range but finally they released the new stuff. I placed order on friday and 7:30am Monday I have Oz post ringing the crap out of my doorbell. Normally that’s cool but had a late start and was hoping for sleep in. Windows 7

WINDOWS   7

Let me start off by saying I am not a Vista hater. I sell computers and went into Vista wit an open mind. I liked it straight away and didn’t find the UAC prompts that bad. This (UAC) issue is probably the only gripe that people had that was valid(apart from software bloat), and to those people I suggest they harden up and that they should have a good hard look in the mirror, because there are far more serious issues in the world they could take issue with. I have had to listen to soooooo many ill-informed customers winge about Vista, and all of them, when questioned further about their grevience with Vista, didn’t really have one, and where just bandwagoning.Continue reading “Windows 7”

Honda Jazz VTI-s

HONDA JAZZ VTI-S

Last week I picked up a brand new Honda Jazz VTI-s. It is the top of the range model in the Jazz and features steering whell mounted cruise control, paddle shift semi-automatic. It also has the 1.5 litre i-vtec motor(lower spec GLI models have a 1.3 litre). It also has 16 inch alloy wheels as standard.Continue reading “Honda Jazz VTI-s”

Online surveys-waste of time or not ?

ONLINE SURVEYS

I broke my leg about 4 months ago(march 09) and couldn’t work, and thought I may as well try and make some walking around money doing online surveys. I googled the subject and got started. Little did I know how easy it was to waste my time, which wasn’t a problem as I had plenty of time on my hands but that a lot of these sites only offer entry into a lottery (like Toluna), which wasn’t  going to help me make any money unless I got lucky but is OK if you like doing surveys, which I have found I do.Continue reading “Online surveys-waste of time or not ?”

SONY Playstation 3

Playstation 3

PlayStation 3 120 GB

Well after much contemplation I finally got myself a PlayStation 3. I had been tossing up between it and an Xbox 360, and finally decided the PlayStation 3 was better suited to my needs. The built in Blu-ray player was a bonus, and for my needs really just for the advantages it brings gaming(larger capacity equaling bigger more detailed games), not as a movie player. I’m not sold on the push to HD(high definition) as I have an awesome Standard definition widescreen TV(a german Loewe) that I plan to have for many more years, and I don’t see a major difference between excellent SD and average HD. I can’t afford good HD and even then, its a subtle improvement at best.Continue reading “SONY Playstation 3”

Heart Intelligence/Memory

Updated further below(26/12/2010)

I just watched an amazing show on this, where they found about 5% – 10% of heart transplant recipients had emotional and behavioral changes after getting new heart. The first publicized case, the recipient knew the donors first name and started drinking beer and eating green peppers, even though she had disliked both before.Continue reading “Heart Intelligence/Memory”
